Desexing
There are more benefits of desexing than just preventing unwanted litters of puppies and kittens. For many pets, desexing can help reduce some types of reproductive cancers and infections, as well as balance out their temperament to reduce aggression or wandering. Vet Diagnostics
Getting to the bottom of what’s causing your pet discomfort, pain or on-going symptoms fast can be critically important. At Plus One Vet, we can perform pet echocardiograms, endoscopies, image diagnostics, blood tests and other diagnostics in-house, making it faster and easier to get results to diagnose a range of problems.
Pet Health Checks
Once or twice a year, every pet should have a visit to their local Parkinson vet for a general checkup. Our vets check their weight, teeth (or beak), skin, coat or feathers, ears, heart, lungs and overall condition to make sure everything is as it should be. If needed, we can also use the visit to keep them up to date with vaccines, parasite prevention and taking a blood test to monitor them for any hidden issues.
Pet Teeth Cleaning
Even with bones, dental biscuits and regular brushing, your pet’s teeth need the occasional professional clean to keep them beautiful and clean. It’s similar to human dental cleans, including dental x-rays and using equipment to remove all plaque and tartar build up. The only difference is, pets are generally put under a general anaesthetic to keep it safe for them and our vets.
Pet Vaccinations
It’s recommended dogs, cats, and even some reptiles and birds, be kept up to date with routine pet vaccinations. Which vaccinations your pet needs depends on their species, age, living circumstances and which vaccinations they have had in the past. Our Parkinson vets will advise you which ones they recommend and why, as well as how often they’ll need a booster.
